The City of Fulton, Kentucky is now accepting applications for an open position within the City. The City of Fulton, Kentucky is a unique and extremely historic City and part of a Twin City Community (South Fulton, TN) located on the Kentucky/Tennessee line and has an estimated community population of 5,000. The community is situated on the Canadian National Rail Line and the Southernmost section of I69 in Kentucky about forty-five minutes south of Paducah, KY and two and half hours Northwest of Nashville, TN.
The City Commission is seeking a qualified person for the position of Wastewater Plant Operator. Under general supervision, the Wastewater Operator performs a full array of skilled to semi-skilled manual labor activities as needed and/or required by the Public Works Department to maintain wastewater collection and treatment operations. Activities include but not limited to operation, maintenance and repair of the City’s buildings, equipment, storm water system, sanitary sewer system and monitoring and reporting for regulatory compliance. Operators may operate various types of equipment, specialty tools, machinery and commercial vehicles. Operators most often works outdoors, regardless of the weather. The person performing this job will also be responsible for the Public Works General Worker Job Description Salary range for the position is $37,000 to $45,0000 annually.

Under general administrative direction from the City Manager, performs a variety of technical, administrative, and supervisory work in planning, organizing, directing, and implementing fire prevention, suppression, emergency preparedness and code enforcement to prevent or minimize the loss of life and property by fire and rescue conditions. The Chief is the top supervisory position in the Department, which is in addition to performing fire and rescue duties. Salary range for the position is $50,000 to $65,0000 annually.

At 01:30 pm today, Saturday, January 29, 2022 , boil water for Fulton City Municipal Water customers on Poplar and Frienship who have experienced a water outage and as a measure of precaution for our customers a boil water advisory has been issued. We appreciate the patience and support of our customers and community. The City of Fulton, Kentucky is seeking sealed bid proposals for an exclusive residential & commercial solid waste franchise agreement within their corporate boundaries. The City also desires to offer an optional pricing for the same up to one mile outside of its corporate city boundaries for customers on the rural water district.
