Fulton City Hall and Departmental Offices Closed for Holidays

Please plan accordingly as the Fulton City Hall and Departmental Offices will be closed December 22nd, 23rd, and 24th for Christmas. Fulton City Hall and Departmental Offices will also be closed December 30th and 31st for the New Year Holiday. Our Police, Fire, EMS, and Public Works departments all remain on call. Remember them during the Holidays as many of them miss spending time with their families in service to keep the community running and protected.


City of Fulton Business License Renewal Due By January 1, 2022

The City of Fulton has an occupational license fee ordinance on file that requires anyone who does business inside the city limits of Fulton to purchase a seventy-five dollar ($75.00) business license.

“Business” means any enterprise, activity, trade, occupation, profession, or undertaking of any nature conducted for gain or profit. “Business” shall not include the usual activities of board or trade, chambers of commerce, trade associations, or unions, or other associations performing services usually performed by trade associations or unions. “Business” shall not include funds, foundations, corporations, or associations organized and operated for the exclusive and sole purpose of religious, charitable, scientific, literary, educational civic or fraternal purposes, where no part of the earnings, incomes or receipts of such unit, group or association, insures to the benefit of any private shareholder or other person.

Leaf Pick-up Notice

Beginning Monday, November 15th, leaves will be removed by vacuum machine during the fall months. The leaf machine will cover the city from east to west and then start over. Leaves, pine needles, and yard rakings must be placed at the edge of the yard by the street (not in the street) so the vacuum machine can pick them up. City of Fulton Garbage Pickup

Due to mechanical issues the garbage pickup services are delayed. If your garbage cart has not been emptied please leave your cart at the curb. Garbage services will resume as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience.  


Effective July 1 City Wide Special Pick Up will no longer be available.

Effective July 1, 2021, the city wide bulk item pickup will no longer be available. All final bulk items must be placed on curb no later than 6:00 am Monday, June 28, 2021. Items eligible for special pickup do not include bagged items or overflow of regular garbage. Special pickup only consists of large items that will not fit in a garbage can. Items must be placed on the curb free from blockage of any tree limbs, power lines, poles, mailboxes, or vehicles parked in the street. If any additional garbage cans are needed at your residence you may call city hall to request these for an extra $5.00 each on your monthly utility bill. UPDATE: BOIL WATER NOTICE LIFTED WEDNESDAY, JUNE 9, 2021. At 4:00 pm today, Monday, June 7, 2021 , a boil water notice was issued for Fulton City Municipal Water customers on Vanlea, Vernon, Harding, & N Highland. The boil water notice was issued as a measure of precaution for our customers after the water system experienced a drop in water pressure following a repair to a leak on this date.  We appreciate the patience and support of our customers and community. We are also grateful for the dedicated and knowledgeable employees that worked  to repair the issue and ensure a safe and reliable source of water.   The Boil Water Notice will remain in effect until further notice.  Call 270-472-2434 Fulton Public Works for questions.
